  • Style: Italian Renaissance

  • Project Type: Historic Renovation

  • Project Completion: 2012

Originally designed in 1915 by architect Reginald D. Johnson, this Historic Italian Renaissance style home is situated on one of the largest lots in Coronado and was in need of a full interior and exterior renovation. The new owners of the 5,200 square foot home wanted to maintain its history while bringing a modern touch to the residence. Due to the historic nature of the home, great care and precise detailing was needed to integrate the new portions of the home with the old. The original exterior facade of stucco and wood windows were restored to their original look. The home now features a covered rear loggia and second story balcony that overlooks the new pool and rear yard. The interior was reconfigured to an open floor plan that better relates to the site and the owner's needs including four large bedrooms, four and a half baths, a study and an art room.
